Premier League Predictions, Saturday 10th March

Here are our experts picks for this Saturdays round of fixtures in the Barclays Premier League.

Manchester United v Liverpool  (12:30 GMT)

First up is undoubtedly the most anticipated game of the weekend, the North-West derby between Manchester United and Liverpool.  United have been struggling to get going in recent games, meanwhile Liverpool have been firing on all cylinders. Mo Salah has been in terrific form all season and will likely cause the United back-line a few problems.  We predict he will be amongst the goals again, leading Liverpool to victory. This could see them up to 2nd place on the table, overtaking their rivals.

Scoreline Prediction: Manchester United 1-2 Liverpool
Most Likely Goalscorer: Mo Salah

Everton v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

These two teams head into Saturday’s game with contrasting form.  Everton’s initial good form after the appointment of Sam Allardyce has well and truly worn off by now, losing 3 of their last 4.  Visitors Brighton on the other hand are unbeaten in seven in all competitions.  Manager Chris Hugton has just picked up the Manager of the Month award and striker Glenn Murray has scored five in his past five games. We don’t see anything changing in this game, another Brighton win seems to be on the cards.

Scoreline Prediction: Everton 0-2 Brighton
Most Likely Goalscorer: Glenn Murray

Huddersfield v Swansea (15:00 GMT)

Huddersfield are a side well and truly up against it and find themselves deep in a relegation battle.  Saturday’s visitors Swansea are also in the mix and, like Huddersfield, are sitting on just 30 points  The Swans have had a new lease of life recently under new boss Carlos Carvalhal and have been climbing the table in recent weeks.  Come the end of the season this fixture could be seen as a vital game with both sides sitting just 3 above the relegation zone.  We predict a share of the spoils here with both sides going for it in a thrilling draw.

Scoreline Prediction: Huddersfield 2-2 Swansea
Most Likely Goalscorer: Laurent Depoitre

Newcastle v Southampton (15:00 GMT)

These sides come into this game occupying both places just above the relegation zone. Both sides  have each only had one win in their last five. Newcastle have been well-drilled defensively under Rafa Benitez this season and won’t be giving anything away in such an important game.  We predict a narrow win for the home side in this one.

Scoreline Prediction: Newcastle 1-0 Southampton
Most Likely Goalscorer: Dwight Gayle

West Brom v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

It is still strange to think that this time 2 years ago Leicester City were running away with the title, and shocking the world.  Today they find themselves comfortably in the top half of the table despite not winning any of their last five.  Hosts West Brom find themselves rooted to the bottom of the table. Bar a large change in fortunes, they look certain to go down at the end of the season.  We predict Leicester will end their run of bad form here with a comfortable victory.

Scoreline Prediction: West Brom 1-3 Leicester
Most Likely Goalscorer: Jamie Vardy

West Ham v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

West Ham are starting to find themselves in a bit of trouble after things were starting to look positive at the beginning of 2018.  Visitors Burnley will come into the game with confidence after a run of good form and will be keen to leave with the 3 points. West Ham have been very poor recently and we don’t see that changing in this game. We’re going for the Burnley win here.

Scoreline Predictor: West Ham 1-3 Burnley
Most Likely Goalscorer: Marko Arnautovic

Chelsea v Crystal Palace (17:30 GMT)

Chelsea will have bad memories of the last time these two sides faced. Who could forget when Roy Hodgson got his first win as Crystal Palace manager. Five months on and Crystal Palace are still stuck in the relegation zone, and Antonio Conte’s Chelsea days look numbered.  With both sides in bad form, we predict quality will prevail and the home side will get the win.

Scoreline Predictor: Chelsea 2-0 Crystal Palace
Most Likely Goalscorer: Eden Hazard

That’s our predictions and we hope you enjoy what looks set to be a great day of football. We’ll be back soon with more Premier League Predictions.
